Derek saw the tears in her eyes and leaned forward, pressing his lips gently against the side of her eyes, wiping them away with his lips. 'They were fools to leave you Zoe. I on the other hand am no fool, nor are you. I promise to never leave you.'

Zoey stiffened a little as she saw Derek move close to her face and she blushed as she felt his lips against her face."B.But..e.everyone...l.l.leaves...a.at..s.s.some...p.p.point."She said in a nervous voice.

Derek placed a hand in the small of her back as he rubbed her back gently. 'Im not going to leave you. When i make a promise i keep it until i die.' He rubbed her cheek softly before kissing it. 'I promise you.

Zoey tensed a bit when she felt Derek move his hand on her back but she relaxed as he rubbed it gentlly.She bit her lip as she heard him and then she nodded shakly as he kissed her cheek.

Derek smiled as he closed his eyes, just smiling softly at her. 'Zoe you know your an amazing girl right..'

Zoey blushed brightly as she heard Derek say she was amazing and she shook her head."I.I'm...n.not...t.that...a.a.amazing."She said while looking down at the floor.Her uncle had made it clear that she was nothing but a waist of space that no one wanted.

Derek smiled as he saw her blush and kissed her cheek even softer, letting his lips linger there for a few extra second before pulling them back and watching her with a soft steady gaze. 'Oh forget what people tld you Zoe.. you are amazing and you know it..'

Zoey shook her head as she heard Derek say she was amazing and she continued to look down at the floor."I.I.I'm...n.not.
I...c.can't...b.be."She said as she felt him kiss her cheek and she pulled away a little.

Derek gave her hands a soft and reassuring squeeze as he stayed close to her. 'Zoe you are amazing. Look at you right now.. earlier you were about to run away from and now look.. we're standing very close to each other.. its takes a amazing girl with courage to break through her fears of what ever they may be to stand this close to me. I dont care what anyone else says.. your amazing..'

Zoey listened to Derek talk and sbe frowned.She was only slowly trying to be brave because her uncle was locked away now."I.It's...o.only...b.b.because...m.my...u.uncle
is...i.in...j.jail."She said in a shaky voice.

Derek sighed as he heard her. 'What did he do to you zoe..'

(I'm not trying to mak her upset i'm just trying to make the story more interesting xD

Zoey tensed up as she heard Derek ask what her uncle did to her and she pulled her hand away and she shook her head no.She didn't want to talk about the way her uncle beat her to a pulp and then used her for his own pleasure."NO!"She said while her breathing got ragged.as she remembered the day she was alone with him she felt her body shake and she wrapped her arms around her self.

Derek flinched hard when he heard her yell. He didn't drop to the ground, instead he quickly wrapped his arms around her, rubbed her back softly as he whispered soft and sweet things in her ear, trying to calm her down. 'Zoe calm down.. its going to be alright.. no ones going to hurt you beautiful.. not while im here..' He kissed her temple softly and kept rubbing her back as he kept whispering reassuring things in her ear.

Zoey felt Derek wrap her arms around hers and she began to struggle.She didn't exactly know him and she was afraid that he would hurt her.As she continued to struggle she started to slowly down as he said sweet things in her ear.

Derek rubbed her back softly as he continued to say sweet things in her ear. Placing a finger under her chin he lifted up as he gazed into her eyes.
