Zoey bit her lip nervously again as she didn't get a response and so she nervously walked up to him and hugged him gently.She didn't know if she had hurt his feelings but she didn't mean to if she did.

Derek's back stiffened slightly as he felt her wrap him but relaxed, seeing she wasn't going to hurt him. He smiled slightly and hugged her back softly.

Zoey felt Dereks back stiffen and she had a sad look in her eyes because she knew this was going ti be hard for both of them."D..Derek...I...i'm..s.sorry...i.if...I..h.hurt you.
your...f.feelings.I..it's...j.just...I..w.was...h.hurt...m.more...t.t.then..y.y.you..t.think."She said with a shaky voice.She was trying not to have a melt down because even the thought of being hurt like that again made her flinch.

Derek nodded as he rubbed her back softly, trying to calm her down. 'Its alright zoey.. you didn't hurt my feelings..' He thought for a few moments before he ifted her up into his arms, cradling ehr softly as he gazed into her eyes. 'What happened Zoe... what was the bad thing that happened to you that made you feel and become this way.. i know you dont trust me fully, but i completely trust you and want to be here for you love.. i want to help you through this just like your helping me.' He kissed her cheek softly. 'Please tell me what happened.. i promise i wont do anything... i swear on my life..' He watched her carefully as he hoped she'd tell him.

Zoey let out very shaky breath as she heard Derek and then nodded and she waited a few minutes before she started to talk."A.After...m.my p.parents...passed a.away...I had...g.gotten...severely...d.depressed.Then M.My...u.u.uncle and a.aunt t.took me i.in."She sighed and tried to calm down as she told him the next part of the story.."I.I l.lived...t.there b.because I..d.didn't...h.have a.any...w.where t.to...g.go and..e everything thing...s.seemed...f.fine."She said trailing off while let out a shaky sigh." Zoey let out a shaky breath as she tried to finish what she was telling Derek but it was hard because she was afraid she would cut herself again,but she continued."Aft..after a f.few months...o.of...t.that...m.my...un.uncle...b.be...began...to..h.hit m.me."She said and she felt her hands begin to shake and she clenched them to make them stop.She didn't want to continue but she knew she needed to."W.When...m.my...a.au..aunt...w.
went...to...the...s.sto...store...o.one...n.night..h.h.h..he.."She said with a ragged voice and shut her eyes because she tried to forget about all the memorys.

Derek watched as she started to talk in a ragged voice. He hated seeing her this way. He hated how she was so scared. Slowly and softly, he pressed his lips to hers, kissing her slowly as he placed his hand o hr cheek. After a minute passed her removed his lips from her slightly and spoke softly. 'Thats enough Zoey.. you've told me enough.. i can figure out the rest.. you dont have to tell me anymore..;

Zoey blushed as she saw Derek kiss her again and then stopped after a few minutes.She nodded as she listened to him talk and she rested her head on his shoulder as she felt tears go down her face.

Derek rubbed her back softly as he felt her tears hit his neck and shoulder. Leaning his head back a bit he kissed a tear away. 'Zoey your going to be alright now sweetheart.. just calm down.. you dont have to be afraid anymore.. especially now that im here.. i wont let anyone hurt you again..'

Zoey felt Derek rub her back as he tilt his head back and kissed her tear away on her cheek.She shook her head as she heard him talk and she looked down at her arms."I...I...c.can't."She said in a shaky voice and she hugged her self to protect her body.She was having flashbacks of the night her uncle had locked her self in his bedroom.

"I...f.feel...d.dirty...l.like...I...n.need...t.to...c.clean...m.my...se.self."She said to Derek after he told her to say what was on her mind.She did feel dirty and unwanted.When she felt this way she knew she wanted to cut herself but with Derek here it would be hard to do so she would have to wait until later.
